El representante popular Jesús Manuel Ortiz González denunció hoy que el gobierno del PNP pretende forzar a los municipios a aumentar las contribuciones municipales por patentes como un mecanismo de subsistencia, ante el claro intento de utilizar los fondos de los municipios para satisfacer el pago de la deuda del gobierno central. Denuncian aumento en las contribuciones municipales en Ponce
De regalo de madres a los ponceños, la alcaldesa de Ponce, María “Mayita” Meléndez, convocó a la legislatura municipal para aprobar un aumento en el impuesto a la propiedad mueble e inmueble. Así lo denunció el legislador municipal por el Partido Popular Democrático (PPD), Dr. Luis Irizarry Pabón, quien informó que aunque la Sesión Legislativa municipal fue citada para el pasado viernes, a última hora fue cancelada.
